Citizen Generation X

9,094,800 Postal, Email and Telephone Numbers

Background

Generation X covers 21% of the UK population.  They are predominantly aged 25-45, office workers/professionals and many are at the start of their careers.  A high percentage of this group are homeowners and they tend to live on the outskirts of towns.  They have lots of credit/store cards and loans to allow for a better way of living.  The Generation X group is likely to be starting to feel the effect of the credit crunch.

Preferred newspaper in this group is the Daily Mail.  They drive small/budget cars, shop around for the best deal on the internet and take package holidays.

Generation X will respond to offers such as credit cards, store cards, insurance offers, holidays, automotive (particularly budget car ranges), mobile phones, education/learning, ISP’s and charities.

Generation X can be broken down into 4 codes:  Southern Starters (2.15m); Older Suburbs (3.1m); Detached Aspirers (3.1m) and Online Families (694k).  These codes are selectable separately.
